I DON’T WANT TO BE AFRAID ANYMORE (2021)
Studies estimate that around 25% to 40% of people experience some form of anxiety related to flying, and I count myself among them. In response to this, I began photographing my apartment and merging these images with maps of various countries and cities. Through this process, it feels as though I am teleporting to distant places without the need to confront my fear of flying.
The pandemic, which put travel on hold for many, ironically provided me with a sense of relief. It was a period when the pressures of travel were lifted, allowing me to explore the world from the comfort of my home, free from the anxieties that typically accompany it.

However, on February 24, 2022, Russia launched a wide-ranging attack on Ukraine, forcing me to move abroad. I now find myself in a paradoxical situation: living in one of the very countries I once wished to visit, yet unable to return home.
